Whether you’re a hop-head or just looking to explore some of the best beer spots in the city, this tour has you covered – if you’re up for the challenge, of course.
What I knew about the MoreBeer beer tour before I went
When I first heard about the MoreBeer beer tour, it was all hands on deck immediately. The idea of hopping between four craft beer bars across Amsterdam seemed like the perfect way to spend an afternoon. It felt like a mini-adventure through the city’s thriving craft beer scene. Not to mention, the simple but effective rules (drink a beer at each stop, keep your receipts, and snag a free t-shirt at the end) make it feel like an unofficial “Beer Olympics” where everyone’s a winner.
Let’s go through the stops one by one.

Proeflokaal Arendsnest – Herengracht 90
Proeflokaal Arendsnest is a proper “brown café” – a cozy, traditional spot where you can kick back with a beer (or two… or three). It’s got that welcoming, lived-in feel, and with 52 Dutch beers on tap and more than 100 bottles to choose from, it’s easy to see why it’s a favorite. Steeped in Amsterdam’s craft beer culture, this place instantly feels like home. If I hadn’t been on a mission to earn my MoreBeer Tour t-shirt, I could’ve easily stayed here for the afternoon, enjoying their signature beers.

BeerTemple – Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 250
Welcome to the Beer Temple, where craft beer lovers feel right at home – and, trust me, you might never want to leave. This place is a total trip, like stepping into an American rock bar with some serious biker energy. It’s got 50 beers on tap, including 30 American brews, at least 10 European options, and a few house beers brewed by Poesiat & Kater. If you thought the selection was impressive, wait until you see the food – think New York-style chicken strips, onion rings, and even vegan bitterballen. The bar staff? Lovable, sarcastic, and full of personality – just the way I like it.

Mikkeller at Morebeer – Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 4
Your third stop on the beer tour is a collaboration between Mikkeller and MoreBeer Brewing (now merged with Poesiat & Kater, another Amsterdam-local brewery), and it’s a match made in beer heaven. You’ve got 50% of the taps reserved for Mikkeller’s killer brews, and the other half filled with unique beers from Morebeer Brewing. The vibe is low-key but buzzing, with the kitchen serving up everything from hearty vegan dishes to quality meats – perfect for pairing with your pint. Oh, and the food? It’s next-level. Seitan dishes with flavors inspired by Japan and South America, plus free-range meats that’ll leave you craving more. And trust me, you’ll want to try them with whatever beer you’re sipping. The whole place is made for hanging out, drinking, and eating to your heart’s content.

Craft & Draft – Overtoom 417
And we’re ending on a high note at Craft & Draft. With 40 beers on tap and over 60 bottles and cans from all over the world, this place is the perfect spot to cap off your beer tour. The beer list is massive and exciting, always something special waiting for you. Whether you’re sipping on a local brew or something from the other side of the world, the laid-back vibe makes it an easy place to linger. If you’re looking to take something with you, the fridge at the front has a solid selection for you to grab and go. And, of course, the bartenders here serve up your drinks with some cheeky banter – because that’s exactly how it should be. After all that hopping around, you’ll be glad Craft & Draft is the grand finale.

What’s the verdict?
The MoreBeer beer tour is a fantastic way to explore Amsterdam’s craft beer scene while hopping between some of the city’s best bars. Each stop is within walking distance, so no need to rush — you have the whole day to finish the tour so just take your time and enjoy the beer. If you’re feeling a bit too relaxed after a few too many brews, the No. 1 tram is your backup for getting from Mikkeller at MoreBeer to Craft & Draft.
